The main town near Ryo, it has a large variety of shops and restaurants as well as small apartments. The town is usually busy night and day and Ryo is quite known, a lot of the people in town are willing to help Ryo with information.

The Aida Florist is run by Nozomi's grandmother, Aida, and Nozomi can usually be seen standing outside. As Ryo's close friend she is always willing to listen to his questions and help him out if she can. Aida can also usually be found inside the florist.

Ajiichi Chinese Restaurant

A Chinese Restaurant run by Tao-san and his wife Lin Xia. Tao-san is quite well known and respected in the Chinese community and is also the head of the Dobuita Chinese Society. They also have an apprentice working there called Wang-san. They are all quite helpful to Ryo's questions.

This shop is usually always closed and seems to have a bad reputation in the area, some saying that the company went bust a while ago.

A small bar with a woman standing outside who tries to get Ryo to come inside for a drink. Inside the bar is a Jukebox and also a man inside working at the bar.

A bar where outside a woman stands to try to get people to come inside. At the bar is Saijo-san who is quite willing to help Ryo. Other people can be seen at the bar here too such as Akemi-san, who often tells Ryo he is probably worrying Ine-san for being out so late.

Bob's Pizzeria

Despite being called Bob's Pizzeria the guy behind the counter is actually called Mario. There are usually other people inside too that Ryo can talk to. Mario seems to know Ryo quite well and even offers to make a pizza for Ryo to share with Nozomi.

Oishi-san's Antique shop, sometimes when he is out on errands his granddaughter watches the shop for him. As well as antiques there are also some move scrolls on sale.

The shop is owned by a helpful man Ryo can talk to when he is trying to buy his fare to Hong Kong, but even with a student discount and it being a one-way fare it's too expensive for Ryo to afford. The shop is located opposite Tom's Hot Dog truck.

A shop run by Hattori-san who can usually be seen outside, sometimes even practising his golf swing. Ryo can't actually go inside the shop but Hattori is usually quite helpful when you talk to him.

The Heart Beats Bar isn't accessible until Ryo is sent to go there when he is looking for sailors, if he tries to go there before he will be shooed away by a guard. The bar serves some shady customers and after Ryo's fight there he is told to not return again.

This little stall is run by Hirata-san who seems to know a bit about the area and the people so she is usually quite helpful. There is also a telephone that Ryo can make calls from for ¥10 and a telephone directory if Ryo is in need to look up a number..

The owner of the store can usually be seen standing in the doorway, so Ryo can't actually go inside the store. Ryo seems a little hesitant when he talks to him sometimes but the owner is quite helpful.

The shop can be easily spotted by the motorcycles that are parked outside. Some bikers gather outside but are generally very unhelpful and rude to Ryo if he tries to talk to him. Odo-san however can sometimes be seen outside working on the bikes and he is quite helpful.

As the name suggests, this bakery is run Komine-san, the bakery can't be entered by Ryo but Komine is usually standing outside for him to talk to.

Kurita-san's little shop, you can usually find him standing outside to talk to, so Ryo can't actually go inside the store. He seems to be friend's with Ryo so he can usually be quite helpful.

This is a small shop run by a lady fortune teller who uses a Crystal Ball to tell her fortunes. It costs ¥300 per reading and you can choose from three types of fortune telling - Future, Clue or Gamble. Future will give a hint as to what will happen to Ryo next, Clue gives Ryo a hint as to what he should be looking for next and Gamble gives Ryo his Lucky Number for the day. Sometimes an image will appear in the Crystal Ball.

Liu Barber and Hair Salon

A little barbershop, run by Liu, a second generation Chinese. But Liu's father is ill in hospital and his family have fallen on hard times, so the shop is closed for a while. It re-opens again once Liu's father is out of hospital.

A traditional barbershop run by Maeda-san where Ryo usually goes to have his hair cut. Sometimes Maeda-san's daughter, Miki, can be seen helping out with the shop.

Nagai Industries is a suspicious looking business that is open at seemingly random times of day and night, or just closed completely. A few people can be seen there but range from being rude to giving strange advice.

The Movie Theatre is closed for building works and never seems to open while Ryo is in Japan. A small barricade stops Ryo from going inside and the outside of the building is covered in scaffolding.

The Tattoo Parlous is located on the first floor of the Okayama Heights apartments and is always closed until Ryo is sent to go there when he is looking for a man named Charlie. Once the tattoo artist meets Ryo he is very eager to work on him and always asks whenever Ryo comes by, no matter how many times Ryo says no.
