Duoji Tao is a Chinese man living in Yokosuka and the owner of Ajiichi Chinese Restaurant on Dobuita Street. He originally came from Gaoxiong in Taiwan and became an chef's apprentice at the age of 15 at a restaurant by the name of Hai Xian Jiu Jia in Hai Feng, Guangdong. By the time Duoji was 22 he moved to Japan to work in Yokohama's Chinatown at Ma Ming Lou. After another 4 years he finally established the Ajiichi with his wife whom he had met whilst working at the Ma Ming Lou. The restaurant is quite popular and well known in the area, they even took in an apprentice, Guangji Wang, who also makes deliveries for the restaurant, although Duoji thinks his wife dotes on him too much.
