Yamagashi is an elderly resident of Sakuragaoka, who was originally from Itabashi in Toyko. He is well versed in the martial arts and trained in them since childhood. At the age of 30 he was drafted into the military where he served on the front lines, dealing with decoding enemy communications. After he completed his military service he moved with his wife to Sakuragaoka because his wife had a love of cherry trees.
On the day of Iwao death, Yamagashi fell down after the black car sped past him on its escape from the Hazuki Dojo and he hurt his back. He was a good friend of Iwao's and the two used to spar together in the past and drink sake afterwards, he hopes that one day he and Ryo can drink sake together. Yamagashi's style is Kobujutsu, a style he has practised for many years.
Learn Double Blow
After Ryo has spoken to Tom about the black car, Yamagashi will appear in Suzume Park after 6pm. If Ryo talks to him there he will offer to teach Ryo a move called the Double Blow, a move that he also once talk to Iwao.
