US Shenmue was a special edition of the first
Shenmue game released only in Japan. This particular version is essentially the North American release of Shenmue for Japan. It contains the English dialogue, English style loading screens and everything else you would expect from the North American release, the only difference being the option of Japanese subtitles and notebook entries.
